Starting in 2014, the IRS is offering a new online request option called "Get Transcript" that will allow individual taxpayers with an SSN to instantly view and print a copy of their tax transcripts.
Taxpayers are able to use the option to authenticate, view, and print copies of their transcript in one session.
Taxpayers will need to provide:
- Name
- SSN
- Date of Birth
- Filing Status
- Street Address
- Other identity questions such as previous address or mortgage information, etc.
Taxpayers may also request that a transcript be mailed to their address of record by using the online tool or sending in Form 4506-T, Request for Transcript of Tax Return.
